Located in the Atlantic Ocean about 1350 kilometers from Europe Gran Canaria is the second most populous island of the Canary Islands. Gran Canaria’s unofficial name is “miniature continent”. The island got its name thanks to the diversity of landscapes and climate differences. The island boasts of its long beaches and spectacular sand dunes.
